Every year my family goes to this AMAZING resort! There are so many wonderful things about it. For one, it has a beautiful landscape and scenery. Two, it is in a magnificent bay of the perfect White Sand Lake. The water is as clear as can be in the swimming area with a wonderful wood dock. There are very little fish in the swimming area except for small minnows. Sometimes a little perch or two come by, but it is nothing like bass, or big fish. Oh, and the cabins are wonderful. There is no TV, Wifi, or any of that electronic stuff. It is the perfect getaway from technology. The bedrooms are wonderful. Only one bathroom though, but who cares! That is outweighed by all the fun you will have. Also, Dick and Arlene, the owners, are just so nice and kind to everyone. Also, if you have a boat or rent one, no problem. They have a great boat dock to put one in. The resort has their own rental boats, some nice 9HP fishing boats as well and some row boats too. My family rents a speedboat and all we do is move one of the fishing boats for it, and your good to go! Overall, it is a wonderful place to visit and stay in and if you have children, it is perfect for them. They will have a blast. I always do. So whether you are there to fish, boat, enjoy scenery, this is the perfect place to go. Not to mention all the wonderful places nearby you can visit, such as the the museum downtown, that talks about the history of the Native Americans that lived and still live in the area. There also is the casino for those gamblers out there. Also only about a half hour away is the St. Germaine Flea Market. Open every Monday, which is something my family always goes to. Overall, if you are going to stay ANYWHERE in the Northwoods area, Zelm's White Sand Lake Resort is perfect for you.
